Pedigree: “Calato x Acord”, “Calato Z x Acord”
Sire: Calato Z
Calato performed in the international showjumping sport under the Danish Jennifer Fogh Petersen. Calato’s most famous son Cöster is a 3-times European Champion with Christian Ahlmann – they won the individual and team gold in 2003, the team gold in 2005, Olympic bronze in Athens and the World Championship bronze in 2006. Calato is also the sire of many other international Grand Prix jumpers like Corinessa, Callistro, Clausen or Chapman Rouge.
Dam: Dakora H7
Dakora is an awarded breeding mare registered both in the Holstein and the Oldenburg-International studbooks. She has an exceptional breeding value as she is linebred both for Cor de la Bryère and for the founding mare of the Holstein damline 7126. This damline is one of the most successful mare families worldwide, it produced many famous jumpers and sires like Fra Diavolo, Acord I-II-III, Burggraaf, Bella Donna (ridden by Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum), or USA Today (ridden by Robert Whitaker).
Importantly, Calacoletta’s oldest brother Quintello (from Quebec) is an internatonal Grand Prix-level jumper. Among others, Quintello took part of the Global Champions Tour in 2011, and in 2013 he was a member of the Canadian jumping team in Wellington at the Furusiyya FEI Nations Cup with Erynn Ballard.
